So long I don&#8217;t remember where I got them. Knowing me, they were Studio G stamps in the bargain bin (I checked, I was right). So, since I did a set of fairly dark cards, I thought I&#8217;d do something cute for those who dig that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5756\" src=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-01.jpg\" alt=\"lm 01\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-01.jpg 800w, https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-01-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For this project, I used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blank kraft paper note cards, with envelopes<\/li>\n<li>Papers by Recollections<\/li>\n<li>Plain black card stock<\/li>\n<li>Bristol paper<\/li>\n<li>Versafine Onyx Black<\/li>\n<li>Extra-fine embossing powder<\/li>\n<li>Distress Markers<\/li>\n<li>Fiskars circles template<\/li>\n<li>Studio G Stamps<\/li>\n<li>Sizzix Decorative Frames<\/li>\n<li>EK Success jack-o-lantern edge punch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5755\" src=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-02.jpg\" alt=\"lm 02\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-02.jpg 800w, https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-02-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I chose a harlequin pattern and cut it to 4\u00bc&#8221; x 4&#8243;, centering the pattern as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5758\" src=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-03.jpg\" alt=\"lm 03\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-03.jpg 800w, https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-03-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I punched out jack-o-lantern edges, and trimmed them so they&#8217;d have attaching room below, and be 4\u00bc&#8221; long. I needed six edges for the three cards.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5757\" src=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-04.jpg\" alt=\"lm 04\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-04.jpg 800w, https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-04-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next, my three little monsters got stamped on Bristol with Versafine and embossed. I originally used marker pad, as I&#8217;d planned on using Copics, but that wasn&#8217;t going as well as I liked, so I switched to watercolor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5759\" src=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-05.jpg\" alt=\"lm 05\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-05.jpg 800w, https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-05-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Distress Markers applied with a water brush colored the monsters.\u00a0 Before I painted them, I marked a light pencil circle, 1\u00bd&#8221; across, using a Fiskars circle template. I didn&#8217;t use their cutter, as it&#8217;s not all that trustworthy. I did two of everything, just in case, then I cut out my monsters and chose the best.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5760\" src=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-06.jpg\" alt=\"lm 06\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-06.jpg 800w, https:\/\/spookymoon.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/lm-06-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I stamped these sentiments from the same Studio G set on to another piece from the Recollections stack.<\/p>\n<p>To assemble, I edged the harlequin paper with the jack-o-lanterns, top and bottom. Centered toward the top, the decorative frame went down, and a monster on top of that. Sentiment below. Everything is stuck straight down for easier mailing.
