This 1999 RAV4, with nearly 350k miles on it, is my freedom. We are only the second owners, and it still runs like a top. I think it may be one of the last non-disposable cars. I’ve never named it, as that’s not my thing, but I do love it dearly.
I have a healthy collection of stereoview cards. I had completely forgotten about this, tucked away in a keepsake box, found while looking for something else. It is now with the rest of the collection.
This is the last big thing I had to put up in the house. Only took me four months! Usually it takes a year for me to settle in. The rack was originally for nail polish.
New obsession! I blame my stereoview group. The machines are easy to find in person. This is a Sawyer’s, made between 1946-55. The reels are easy to find online, but the in-person hunt is challenging.
I don’t collect these (but I could!). One is for a Tall Toad top hat, and the other is for sweeping eraser bits off my studio table. I figure, if you need something like this, why not get a version that is old and beautiful?
