This delightful trailer is kind of a “suggested use” for Dan Bains’ seance doll. Boy, do I wish the story were true!

Michelle Tapia combines scrimshaw and silversmithing to create gorgeous, whimsical designs.

She does lots of calaveras, though I admit I like the kitties best.

She works with fossilized walrus tusk. No modern ivory. Her work is justifiably spendy. You can see more of it at Malouf on the Plaza, a shop in Sante Fe.

I am absolutely terrible at origami, but I can’t help but think an origami Halloween display would be pretty cool, so here are some tutes.

An adorable short from the upcoming movie Coco.

My Secret Pumpkin spoiled the hell outta me. It felt like my birthday as I unwrapped all the beautiful presents. They are really tuned into my taste. Some of this is stuff I’ve wanted, but not bought because I wasn’t going to get one more Halloween thing that year. And despite being completely my taste, I don’t already have any of it. Which, yeah, shouldn’t be a surprise, but it is. Heh. Don’t judge. I specifically remember seeing that snowglobe and whimpering a little as I passed it up. So this is amazing, and I am giddy. Thank you, SP!
